Directions

If using Sat Nav:

If you are using sat nav (LD1 5SR), it will most likely NOT take you directly to Coety Bach. It will probably take you to the farm just down the road from us. (Please be mindful that this is our neighbours working farm and there are often animals around, particularly a dog who may run out into the road, so please drive slowly).

From this point carry on along the tarmac road with the farm buildings either side and keep going straight ahead. DON'T TURN OFF THE TARMAC ROAD. (Rough tracks go off this tarmac road and there’s the possibility of damaging your car or getting stuck). The road will take you round a left hand bend and up a steep hill.  We are at the top of the road on the left.  You will see a metal gate directly in front of you (don't go through this gate) Our sign 'Coety Bach' is on an old oak tree to your left. Please turn left into our drive to park.

From Llandrindod Centre:

If travelling from the South on the A483, take the 3rd exit at the mini roundabout next to the National Cycle Museum and Temple Bar Pub.

If travelling from the North on the A483, take the 1st exit at the mini roundabout next to the National Cycle Museum and Temple Bar Pub.

Continue along this road past the Powys Council and Welsh Government buildings, then past Cefnllys Primary School on your right. Keep going up this road (Cefnllys Lane) for approximately 1 mile until it turns into a single-track lane.

Continue along the lane – it bears sharp right at one point – as it heads steeply down towards ‘Shaky Bridge’. When you get to ‘Shaky Bridge’ you will see a small parking and picnic area alongside the River Ithon. Continue through this area. You will go through a sharp ‘S-bend’ and continue through farm buildings. Keep going for approximately ¾ mile, then take the next turning right going up a gradual slope.

You will then reach a point with farm buildings either side - keep going straight ahead.

From Penybont (A44):

If travelling from the East, enter Penybont village and pass the Severn Arms Pub and Village Community Centre on your left. Take the next left and continue through the residential area.

If travelling from the West, take the first right as you enter Penybont village and continue through the residential area.

As you leave the residential area of the village the road turns into single track lane. Continue on this lane for approximately 1.5 miles. Go over a steel sided bridge, the road bears left and then take the first right. Continue past some lodges on your right. Continue and go past a red brick house with stables, the road bears right and then turn immediately left up a gradual slope.

You will then reach a point with farm buildings either side - keep going straight ahead.
