Welcome to 2025 at Coety Bach!

Taking a Moment to Reintroduce Ourselves

After a short digital break to soak up some family time, we’re thrilled to jump back into our routine for 2025. This feels like the perfect opportunity to reintroduce ourselves and share a little about the story behind Coety Bach.

We’re Vicki and Lyndon, your hosts and we’re excited to welcome you to this very special, unspoilt part of Wales. A decade ago, we stumbled upon a dilapidated cottage with just enough land to start our dream of creating a unique, space, where guests could reconnect with nature, unwind, and make cherished memories. Coety Bach was born, if only in our hearts.

Building began a whole 5 years later, when we were finally in a position to physically start the project. The cabin took a whole year to build . Every inch of the cabin being carefully thought out with every nail and plank of odd shaped wood personally installed with heart and soul. With my Grandfathers antique door knobs, a hand made stable door, a rescued stained glass window, repurposed copper piping radiator in the bathroom, these are the touches that make the cabin a quirky, unique place to be. This journey has been about more than just creating a holiday escape, it’s been about resilience and creativity.

Life Behind the Scenes

Running Coety Bach alongside raising our children, Emrys and Martha, and caring for elderly relatives has kept us on our toes! It’s been hard work but also incredibly rewarding. One of our greatest joys is welcoming our guests and making sure their getaway is perfect.

We love greeting guests in person, offering tips on the best local trails, or pointing them toward some of our favourite hidden gems in the area. At the same time, we respect their privacy and know how important it is to have a peaceful escape.

Meet the Unofficial Welcome Committee

Of course, Coety Bach wouldn’t be the same without our furry, feathered, and four-legged friends.

Jasper: Our friendly spaniel and the first to greet most of our guests.

Biscuit: A cheeky chap who loves a nose tickle!

Megan: A gentle soul who’s favorite time of the day is breakfast!

Arlo: Arlo came to us in desperate need of a loving home and has quickly settled in!

Surrounding sheep: A particular delight is watching the lambs play in the spring time.

Doris and her ‘gang’: By far the most popular with the guests as they provide the best eggs for breakfast!

They’re all part of the charm here and love to make you feel at home.

Looking Ahead to 2025

We’re kicking off 2025 with some exciting plans! This year, we’re thrilled to announce our proposal package, designed for anyone planning to pop the question in our idyllic surroundings. We do have a 100% acceptance rate for proposals, so far! We’re keeping the details under wraps for now, but if you’re thinking about asking that all important question, drop us a message, and we’ll help make it extra special.

Check out our other bundles we have thoughtfully prepared to make your stay even more special.

There are still a few spots available for winter breaks, so if you’re looking for a cosy escape, now’s the time to book.

Thanks for taking the time to read about what’s been happening at Coety Bach. Whether you’re a returning guest or thinking about staying with us for the first time, we can’t wait to welcome you soon.

Much love,
Vicki and Lyndon
