Real Dog-Friendly Stays at Coety Bach
Jasper, our friendly spaniel welcomes all!
If you're planning a break and can't bear the thought of leaving your four-legged friend behind, you're in the right place. Here at Coety Bach, we’re proudly dog friendly. And we mean properly dog friendly, not just “we’ll tolerate them if they’re small and quiet” dog friendly. If your dog is the reactive type, pre-warn us and we can set things up if your dog has particular needs.
Our cabin has a fully enclosed garden wrapped right around it, so your dog can potter about off-lead while you settle in with a cuppa. The space is safe and secure, but as a little note of caution, we always recommend giving the fence a quick once-over when you arrive, just in case any curious wildlife has been exploring overnight. It’s also worth keeping in mind what your dog’s like with fences, especially if they’re prone to jumping or digging. Every dog’s different and you’ll know best what they might try.
Dogs absolutely love it at Coety Bach. The fresh air, the views, the peace. It’s not just the humans who start to relax the moment they pull up. Our own Springer Spaniel, Jasper, is always keen to say hello to new doggy guests. He takes his greeting duties seriously with a good sniff and a wag.
To help your pup settle in, we leave out a little doggy welcome basket with a mat to sleep on, a couple of towels for drying off muddy paws, and some bowls for food and water. Round the back of the cabin, you’ll also find a handy dog wash area. Perfect for rinsing off after a soggy walk or a splash in the river.
There are loads of gorgeous walks nearby that are perfect for couples with dogs. From gentle riverside rambles to hilly hikes with stunning views. The Elan Valley is a real highlight. Not only is it breathtakingly beautiful, but the café there even serves dog-friendly ice cream. That’s right, your pup can tuck into a treat while you do the same.
If your dog has a habit of chasing sheep (we’ve been there), just give us a shout. We know plenty of lovely walks with no livestock around, and we’re always happy to point you in the right direction. Fancy a day at the beach? There’s a cracking dog-friendly beach just over an hour away where your dog can run wild on the sand and leap about in the waves to their heart’s content.
Inside the cabin, there’s a comfy leather sofa that's perfect for evening snuggles with your pup. And if your dog’s used to curling up in bed with you at night, just let us know. We’ll leave the bed unmade so you can bring your own duvet cover. That way we keep things allergy-friendly for guests who need it, while still making sure your dog feels at home.
We welcome up to two well-behaved dogs at Coety Bach, and we really do mean it when we say we love having them here. So grab the leads, pack the treats, and come and see why dogs love Coety Bach just as much as their owners do.
